Photography has the ability to create powerful ripple effects in the thoughts and emotions of people. Together, images have the ability to change perspectives, challenge beliefs and progress societal norms. This page is dedicated to the current exhibit I am working on. Enjoy @
Children and Humility.
I spent three days in a hospital in Cambodia. The children I met changed my life. I played soccer with them, taught them English and how to use a camera, and I can only hope I taught them an once of life as they taught me everything.
Puertas de Cozumel.
A door can lead to anything.
There is something mystical about sunset, and even more magical about the dream like quality it creates for the senses.
Central American Backdrop + Caribbean Charm
Belize is an unique travel destination. The combination of daydream waters and Barrier Reef, English as an official language, accessibility and climate of Central America combine to make a must visit. A sovereign nation from Britain in 1989, the country combines a Caribbean Island feel with the uniqueness of a Central American country. Mayan ruins, some of the best diving in the world and mouth watering El Salvadorian food are selling points. A beautiful and rich culture and people make any traveler considering cancelling their return ticket.
Living in New York, or anywhere, can distract us from the moment. Belize allowed me, and I hope it does everyone, a chance to reflect on what is important in life, staying in the moment, discovery, adventure and novelty. Two of my friends got certified to scuba dive (I've logged over 200 at this point), but their excitement was contagious. I think we all often forget that there is truly so much left in life to discover. Enjoy the pictures.
Light & Movement
New York may be the perfect petri dish for a collection of photographs capturing the moment when we experience the movement of light and our surroundings. In a constant flux, the city is alive with the pulse of people, transit, and constant change.
The Start of Culture: Italy
The catalyst for refined culture can arguably be traced back to many roots, however when one experiences Italy the conversation quickly becomes null. The rich art, deeply passionate people and breathtaking landscapes combine to create a world of visual and mental pleasure.
People I Do(n't) Know
Strangers. The real, imaginary friends that constitute for most of our human and social interactions. These are the people that from a brief moment of eye contact or connection, we understand. We create a persona and existence, only true in our own perception. These are a collection of images from my journeys. They represent people I simultaneously know and do not know. They represent my mother, my sister, my brother, my father, my professors and my friends. Interpretation is only limited by our own truths and experience, and often fueled by nostalgia and memories. Let the conversations begin.
